Envy | Ofaneverydaygirl

Jayne Mansfield and Sophia Loren.

The word envy comes from the greek word Invidia, which is a sense of a 'looking upon' associated with the evil eye. Today, as in Valentine's day which is going to end in precisely 7 minutes GMT time plays closely to this emotion and obviously a polar- opposite one, which is called Love; if you didn't already know that.

This abstract or piece was written on my way home from university on the tube. Today the tube felt different. Everyone was fancy, more couples, the ladies had more make-up on and not to forget there was a lot of kissing. That did cause me to roll my eyes (forgive me please).

At that moment in time, I wrote of the idea of the already overpopulation of the Capital; that being London if you didn't already know. However, today the idea of overpopulation elevated when everyone was kissing, touching and  looking deeply in their/ with their others. (Am I turning into some what of a Katie Hopkins? Oh dear lord, no!)

Now naturally like the other ladies on the train that looked single; I certainly did because I had a book in hand with smudged make-up. The feeling of envy became a natural feeling to possess. However, there may be also a a sense of pity, hate, shame, or even love. The feelings are endless.

However, at this moment on the train when standing the word 'envy' sprang vividly in mind with a context outside of what we would normally assume. Normally, or even personally; especially with girls even, envy is related to the idea of possession. Material possession to be precise. But now its emotions. This greatly relates to the infamous statement of 'Money does not buy happiness' something that is stuck to me like glue. Therefore, such a feeling becomes deeper and stronger because you cannot really buy it, and therefore it becomes even more special. So, one could even argue that, that envy is in a form of lust or want. Not the individual itself but rather that feeling.

Well, this deep emotive depiction could possibly leave you on two grounds. One, if you do have a significant other, and a Valentines, then well you must be happy and proud of such a 'possession'. Whilst, the other half must be playing with out friend Invidia, i.e. envy.

Its now 00.18. It is no longer Valentine's day GMT time. Sorry for the late post, but I wanted to say it.
p.s. I hope it made some form of sense. This whole lovey- dovey event has hit me a bit hard.
