Greys | Ofaneverydaygirl outfit

H&M Alpaca blend jumper

The wide square print 'everything' has been everywhere this season, alongside any form of 'line' print. The tapered trousers have been left isolated in the back of my wardrobe for months. Though, such an effortless piece can instantly makes an outfit feel cool. Well,  in my mind it does.

The greys in the trousers complement the jumper well, due to the crop-ness of the jumper. Also, the more  'premium' jumper from H&M is to die for. So soft I could be rubbing my belly all day wearing that.

The battle | Ofaneverydaygirl

Well I have been amiss from the blogging world for a very long time. The beginning of the 'university experience' caught me by storm; a very big storm to be precise.  To all those who said that university would be a breeze and it will be the time of your life. Well, hate to break the bubble to those who believe in that, but that is a big fat total lie.

I was expecting a very little work load, FUN but that did not wholly happen. I am so very glad that the first semester is over. I've literally not had a life and therefore, blogging has been a myth. Though, I think its been a lateral experience for student bloggers throughout, as many (i.e, me) are too busy writing about things that happened hundred of years ago.

Hopefully, I can fight the battle between the two, and have more time to blog.

Till then,

Happy holidays.

'The Brogues' | Ofaneverydaygirl

I have been in search for the 'brogues' for quite some while. The whole androgynous look with skinny jeans or statement trousers, is the look I've been wanting to create. Though, the search was endless as many were lack lustrous, quirky, but not 'stylish' enough.

Luckily at the time I was able to get 20% off and they seemed justifiable. The brogues are leather, however, the bottom of the shoe is made out of rubber. As much as it makes it more comfortable, it has worn quickly after a couple of wears. Therefore, you have to be careful not to scrape them and enhance its wear.

The Lunetta, as they call it are high shine multi-colour flat brogues. The compromising of the dark burgundy red with the navy blue sets it out differently to any other brogue. I wore them to work and every time a person caught sight, loved them. They sure have been eye candy.

Though, please note that I bought a size smaller. I'm normally a 6, however the assistant said its better to get a size smaller as the shoes are leather and stretches over time. However, remember to keep the blister plasters in check, they are a killer; even after a few months.

Pick them up at Dune for £79.00 here.

A/W Designer Wishlist | Ofaneverydaygirl

I have a tendency to like the most expensive things out of everything I can choose from. I just always have and feel like I always will like the most expensive things. I never like them because of the price; hell no! I wish it everything was cheaper,  so I could afford it. It just seems designers connect directly to my style and create the most beautiful unique pieces which quite frankly, the high street lack.

A/W clothing should be one of the times designers pieces are worthy. The materials, the quality are crafted for stylish affairs even for withering cold days, unfortunately. So, here are a few things which I would most certainly pick up if I could.

These are not the most physically heart warming pieces one should throw on, but no one will see you with your thermal vests on underneath.; and primark extra cosy tights can win any designer tights in this instance, anyday.

Which pieces are your favourites? Also, what designer pieces would you happily splurge on?, especially for A/W.

A missing Olsen | A make-up look

If I could be any celebrity in the world, after Anne Hathaway and Amanda Seyfried I would definitively be an Olsen twin. They would be on the top of my list to be honest. They are drop dead gorgeous, their style is phenomenal and their career as designers and everything else they exude is an absolute inspiration. Well, for me of course.

The one thing that stands out to me a midst their grungy yet amazing chic looks is their make-up. The 'just woken up', smoky madness is my favourite thing which I have been wearing non-stop for the past few weeks. Brown smoky looks to shades of purple matte shades are among my favourite.

Here are the products listed below which will leave us a tad closer to be an Olsen.

MAC Eyeshadow base in Painterly: Silly me forgot to add this in the shot. But any base will do perfectly fine. It will allow evening out of the eyelids and act as a form of adhesive to allow attachment of products and longer withstanding of products on the eyes.

Sleek 'Oh so special' palette: I have written about this amazing palette before and its versatility in shades and types of shadows makes it perfect for such a look. The mix of the shimmery and matte shades; which include neutral based browns as well as a lovely taupe colour is amazing.

Natural collection single shadow in 'milk chocolate': This baby was a mere £1.79.  A bargain or what? The very light brown, as if coco powder gives a subtle wash of colour and smoky brown waft on the eyes. I have been using this all over the lids, really messily taking it further than I would with any other Shadow and also bringing it on my bottom lash. Due to it being quite light, it is hard to tell when there is a lot of artificial light, so beware.

Flomar quartet in 401: This neutral based palette contains all satiny shimmery colour, including a very pretty white highlight which can be used for both inner corner highlight. Also, I made a little trick of my own. As the highlight is ever so beautiful and finely milled mixing it in with an absolutely minuscule amount of moisturiser worked wonderfully as a face highlight. However, without the moisturiser it would have been powdery if it was all by itself and less stark.

Maybelline master precise eyeliner in black: The refined tip allows a subtle yet build-able liner look. Perfect for an Olsen look at they never really do a winged look, but rather just define their eyes both top and bottom. This allows definition and intensifies the eyes.

Elizabeth Arden brown eye pencil in Espresso: Any brown eye-liner will do. Sometimes a brown over a black has greater subtility and eliminates the overly-bearing panda eye situation. Even if the brown goes a tad too rubbed in, passing the under eye area,  it will leave you with the Olsen deranged look and give more of a relaxed eye make-up. However, if it was all black, it would seem one has not got cleanser or even heard of removing make-up before sleeping. Though, this is a product I would not highly recommend, as I do not believe it is worth the price.

Rimmel scandaleyes kohl kajal In black: I used this mostly for greater definition. This can be used in two ways. One being a replacement for a liquid eye-liner. This will allow greater control of allowing it to smudge and give more of a messy slept-in look. But in addition to that, having a kohl liner, and in this case black. It will go well on the top waterline. This will define the upper eyelids greatly and make it seem your lashes are more intense.

Rimmel Lash accelerator: A waft of mascara is the same as bearing a magic wand across. It does magic, duh. I've been using my quite amazing eye-lash curlers from H&M for a mere £3.00 or something and they uplift not only my lashes but my face. If that makes any sense. This one really defines individual lashes and lengthens them allowing them to stand out a midst of all the smudged on shadows and 74 other products one has shoved on in a 4cm to 3cm dimension. I literally used a ruler to measure that; not precise I don't think.

The important essential: Tools are essentials because even though throwing on a lot of products is the whole purpose of the look, it will need some tweaks. That being a sharpener of course. The one thing i hate about soft kohl pencils is that they break of so easily and sharpening is a pain. Also, cotton buds are another essential. Having a lot of smudging going on means that it can be a tad TOO much so wiping away it away is the best way.

In addition, brushes are important for the look. I used a mixture of a flat shader to pack on the shadow as well using the eye-liner angles brush. Even though, gel eyeliner was not used I found this perfect for lining the eyes. I got the brush and patted the product on from the eye pencil and then transferred the product onto my eyes. It allowed greater control and was more subtle than automatically using the pencil on the eyes.

After all this blabber, I do think we are somewhat Olsens. If not, we can pretend. Going to shove on an all black outfit and use some of all the things I said.

Black out | Ofaneverydaygirl outfit

H&M Double breasted blazer. Similar here & here
Random black top
ZARA Loafers. More here

I am absolutely in love with this double breasted blazer and the overall attire. I was roaming central London with this outfit 'pretending' to be some rich fashionista and it was fun whilst it lasted. Love the fact that an outfit can make you feel that way.

Another exciting element to this outfit is my new Mulberry Bayswater. It is an absolute dream which I have yet to take out. A post will be coming soon on this baby, but for now it absolutely complements the gold elements on the other pieces in this outfit and adds some fun to the whole black look.

The ultimate eyewear | Ofaneverydaygirl

I wear glasses and I absolutely hate it. I cant see long distance, meaning I can not see clearly after about an arms lengths. It just does not suit me, so I have resorted to contact lenses for about two years ago.

From the top right:

However, some people look absolutely amazing in glasses and I want to too. There are some amazing designer frames out there and I just think my freebie ones are the reason I look like such a freakish geek. No offence to those geeks, I am one too but just not as brainy as you may be.
So, for you looking for eyewear inspiration as well as myself I scoured the Internet looking for some pretty eyewear. I personally find rectangular glasses unflattering and a tad restricting on my face. As my face is quite slim and long it looks funny. Therefore, the designs are more of a cat eye. They take more room on the face and heighten/lifts the top part of your face as if you have cheekbones and not just a slim oval-ness.

I absolutely love every one of these. I have to say the tortoiseshell finish is my absolute favourite in both sunglasses and normal eye wear. I found the most amazing Oliver people ones in a cat eye shape and they are my ultimate sunglasses dream.

My favourite have got to be the Micheal Kors and Prada ones. Now I just need to see them in real life and see if they actually suit me.

What glasses do you wear and what face shape do you have? Do you enjoy wearing glasses? If so, why?

Skin Problems & routine | A rant

What ruins my confidence more than anything is my face. Ha ha, that sounds weird but I mean the state of my skin. when one is feeling down or down right irritable having troublesome skins just makes it all the worse for me. And I should be grateful as I do not have anything major and have 'fairly' good skin but a spot is enough and to put me down.

However, I suffer really badly with blackheads on my nose and they will not budge what so ever. My pores are huge and that is the major thing that upsets me. In addition to that, I get the spot or two when it's that time of the month but in these past two weeks I'm suffering with 4 spots out of no where. On my chin, I've been suffering from what seems like a boil. (There's TWO); yuck I know. It's not a zit but just a flared up red bump, which was there two weeks ago, calmed down, and decided to scour my face again. In addition, up north I have two zits which are as red as anything and look yuck. They've calmed down now.

I do not wear foundation and concealers never seem to cover the 'ol thing. I just want skincare to do its damn job. I have accumulated some skincare but I think I need to add some more high end products because I know they will be better for my skin.

This is the skin stash so far:

Moisturiser: Well, you see I haven't really invested in a good moisturiser and I really should because my skin is always dehydrated. In the morning, I use neutrogena's moisturiser with SPF 15, which doesn't do a lot and feels quite icky. I then use Simple's thick face cream at night. I am thinking of Hydraluron and something with an SPF to get me through the day which is is highly moisturising and combats spots, oil build up and so forth.

Cleanser: I currently use the Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser both day and night, which I forgot to add in the picture. However, I think a clay cleaner like the REN one would be a good alternative especially for the evening to rid all that grime and reduce the likelihood of blackheads. Also, the Emma Hardie cleansing balm seems to be a good option too.

Chemical exfoliators: I've been using Alpha H liquid gold for months now and in the first instance I was blown away and saw great results. Now I think my skin does not respond as well. However, the feeling of the 'sting' means that some magic must be going down with my skin. I've been using this about a once a week when I feel spots are starting to rise again, or my skin needs some serious TLC.

Toner: I do not have a toner which I use everyday, especially in the morning. That's another investment I need to make. I'm really interested in Sero zinc by la Roche Posay but conveniently they do not sell it in the UK. However, I was recommend the Clarins brightening chemical exfoliator by the lovely Caroline Hirons and I use that almost everyday in the evening. This has really helped me a lot, it was supposed to help with the blackheads but I have not seen a lot of change. But ultimately my skin feels more smoother, brighter and not as congested.

Spot treatments: I have had the Origins spot treatment for what seems like a year now. At the beginning it seemed good but now I hardly use it. I put it on my current spots and it didn't do much. I do not think it's the best of treatments out there.

Oils: So a few months ago I discovered Jojoba oil and tea tree oil. Jojoba oil being good for adding moisture back in the skin and tea tree which is a natural anti-bacterial that kills off the bacteria that invades ones face. Therefore, healing to reduce the formation of spots and so forth. I used these together profusely, mixing them together at the beginning. It seemed to help. making my skin softer and possibly reducing the amount of spots on my skins. However, I developed small red marks/ spots on my cheeks and so stopped. Since then I haven't developed them again. However, I have been slapping  tea tree oil almost every night after my moisturiser has settles in on my nose, chin and quite rightly all over my face and my face has been quite clear. Beware though, that stuff stinks and it stinks up the whole room, as my sisters pointed out. Thank god I sleep by myself.

SPF: My friend recommended my the Soltan SPF as I needed some for my holiday. I was going to pick up a La Roche Posay one for my face but she said it was OK to use on the face. Soltan seems to be a very good brand and knows its SPF niche well, however i do not think its the best for the face especially if you have oily skin. It can be quite greasy and icky.

So, that is my current skincare routine. Not the best but there is space for lots of improvement. I seriously do not think it is necessary to have five hundred and 1 expensive products. I use about four and my skin is actually OK.

However, on my skin care wishlist are;

  1. Sero zinc by la Roche Posay
  2. REN clarifying clay cleanser
  3. Origins vitazing
  4. Hydraluron
There are so many products that I would like to try but I cannot recall them all. One product at a time for me.

What are you Staple skincare saviours?

Bye bye clothes | Ebay sales

So I've had a somewhat of a big clear out of my wardrobe and have accumulated quite a lot of things that I no longer want. Majority of the clothes are 'what was I thinking' pieces and others are things which are not my style anymore.

I have seriously understood the concept of growing up and out of things. In my theoretical proposition its not an annual thing but rather a thing that can happen in a days. I will seriously fall in love with something and even in a few hours time I will question my choice of clothing which I have just bought.

Maybe I am the only creature out there that is so indecisive and crazily mind changing, or is there lot of us?

Anyways to solve my problem of having a whole load of clothes I don't want anymore, with some pieces which I find utmost ugly which were lying around my house and some of my mums shoes. I have decided to sell them on ebay.

If you want to have a little sneak, then please have a look. You never know you might like the many knit jumpers I have on there.

Here is the link, I hope it's the correct link because I am a complete amateur at ebay. Or else find me  under the name of ikha6655

Happy shopping everyone.

P.S. There is still a lot to go on there, so keep your eyes peeled.

My NET-A-PORTER final sale picks | Wants

1. Markus Lupfer skirt. 2. Tibi pants. 3. Victoria Beckham jacket. 4. Alexander Wang chiffon dress.
5. Mary Katrantzou silk dress. 6. J. Crew capri pants.

The sales seem to be coming to an end and I found myself on the NET-A-PORTER site. Of course for a drool. I was left scrolling furiously down the sale section looks at the wondrously beautiful clothes which are quite heavily discounted, yet still so out of reach. I even found my beloved YSL Arty ring for £36.00. 80% off! I had a mini heart attack and then a little moan after because it is bloody sold out. I better get my hawk eyes in place for the next sale.

Anyways, I ended up opening tabs of some clothes which are quite discounted and at a reasonable price compared to their original. Except for no. 3 & 5 which will leave be abandoned on the streets if I ever bought them. But that dress (N0.5) is to die for, especially when you see the model wearing it on the site.

What are your favourite from my picks? I better save and have something to splurge a little for the next NET-A-PORTER sale. Have a see for yourself here.

Flormar make-up | Newbies & Review

Whilst in Madrid I lost my virginity to a lot of brands and stores which some I had no idea existed in this world and others which I only heard about. That one being Sephora of course. I was excited to walk into Sephora and see the aisles of beauty upon beauty products, but to be honest I was not really interested in the expanse of beauty which was quite expensive for my liking and not really in my keen interest.

However, I fell upon a small beauty brand called flormar which has its own independent store. The store resembles just as any mac store would resemble, but just a little smaller. The store had an array of all beauty products with both beauty tools. Everything looked of high quality but I just didn't have the Patience to rummage around every product. Lipsticks and eye-shadow are just my love.

I came back with an eye-shadow quartet for my mother, though of course I shall steal some of the pigments and an extremely vibrant orange lippie.

The eye-shadow is neutrally based, which has a satin-y sparkly pay-off. There's a vanilla white shadow alongside two pink based shadows and a somewhat chocolate brown. The shadows are highly pigmented and very soft. The well milled shadow allows smooth application on the lids and not at all a streaky/ chalky pay-off.

And of course the lovely lipstick. This baby is a bright orange with pink undertones. The application is highly pigmented and very smooth. However, after a while of wear I found accumulation of product on the corners of my mouth which was rather weird. Whilst walking around Madrid, many people were left staring at my lips, I hope they were intrigued by the awesomeness of my highly pigmented lips and not the mere sight of my face.

From what I have used I think the brand is great, from the swatches of the other eye shadows I found them very pigmented and in comparison to some of the Nars ones I tried I think they were a lot better. A lot cheaper than the prices executed from Nars.

If you want to check them out, then visit thier site here.

Inspiration | Current favourites

As they say a picture speaks a thousand words and seeing pictures of people, Icons, clothes, accessories, you name it is perfect way to spark something positive and influence oneself in an enlightening way.

Pinterest has become one of my overly obsessive platforms for both procrastination as well as severe need to look at clothes and mentally cry a river after scrolling through the array of beautifully coiffed women with naught hint of a blemish or flaw. (Impossible I know but that's what my eyes see and so I believe).

Regardless of my weird thoughts of beautiful women and its severe attack on my self-esteem. Haha! It just makes me more creative about clothes and so forth. So, here are my fave looks, style inspiration and other little bits and bops.

 1. Having stringent curls which make a big ball of bush i have resorted to messily straightening my hair. I love the whole beach wave lose curls. The whole 'Olsen' hair mess is amazing, just going to take a lot of practice and more practice to make it as good; not forgetting products of course.

2. Absolutely love tulle/net material. Its become a major thing in the high-street especially in dresses. Its so princess-sy and glamorous.

3.Clothes. Clothes. Clothes. Pinterest leaves me browsing the fashion pins till the early morning of the day. The outfits are AH-mazing. The pictures in itself represent the love of the outfits but all in all for the moment layering pieces, Bouclé, the Boho look, lightweight pieces, pop of 'slight' neon and unique pattern and pieces of clothing are my favorite. Now can I own all those pieces please?

4. I love make-up, yet I don't spend a lot on make-up. I'm simple and quick with it. Again the whole 'Olsen' look is what I always want but it never turns out that way. However, smoky overall eye looks, with light blush, or defined eyes is what I go for. Also, if one had not spotted already, ORANGE has got to be the best lip colour in the world (In my opinion).

5. Like I said in my previous post, sunglasses were not really my thing and I am not obsessed. I absolutely love over-sized and slightly circular shaped glasses. And having some mirrored coloured glass lenses will be awesome.

6. Who can forget shoes! Cut out shoes. Simple yet not simple. The slight heel is perfect for one who cannot withstand the pain and awkwardness of looking too tall in heels. Found some here. Also, I live in ballet flats, simple, comfortable and in my eyes classy. The Chanel babies will make them the ever more classier. A pair for me please!? Lastly, gold metal elements in shoes are another fave of mine; especially being the solid part of the heel.

All these images have been scoured from my Pins on my Pinterest page. If you want to nose around and find the links of any of these babies check my Pinterest page here.

Happy pinning, and let me know your favourites from my chosen favourites.

Success | Thoughts

I don't know if I am the only one but only being 18 and just finished school, I just really want something more than just having A-levels which I'm not even sure I did well in. All through the last term of school I just wanted to do something amazing, be successful through business, through enterprise where not only it being economic success but having a sincere opportunity and the ability to prove to myself and others that anything is possible. Where one has to break the cycle of only the Rich being the Richest and getting richer, us normal people should have a chance too.

Obviously, there is some form of not being able to have stuff that you want which drives the momentum and urge to success like wanting a designer bag or some sort of luxury like frequent holidays. But why should that be wrong! We work for ourselves, our families and also to drive us to the best and reach the optimum of optimum success.

I feel like I have always had an element of 'entrepreneurship' inside me as it has kind of runs in my  family, but I just cannot find my niche and stance in this situation. I am young but I really want to start now. Also, it's not the idea of a business but something that is productive which I love. Even finding a job which I can do suitable to my age and qualifications would be amazing.

I do not know if I am the only one out there who feels like that. I think its a big puzzle which one needs to piece together. Grow oneself, gain skills, gain knowledge and find the thing you love to a product of success.

Personally, in a nutshell its the urge for something good/amazing to happen that will put me in a better place socially, personally, economically and all the other relevant -allys' out there.

Let me know if you are in the same dilemma as moi.

Away, Away, Away

I am seriously the type of person who allows education to take over everything and literally anything. I wont go out, I wont eat dinner, I wont do anything. And just having completed my A-levels less than a week ago, I reached the optimum of doing nothing else but study.

'Hard work' is the phrase that gets referenced to me a lot. where I get told that I have worked ridiculously hard and looked like a state which I never want to ever look like again. All in all, I let everything else in my life stop and I just revised till the death of me. And through these past two years I have never been happy with what I got in my exams. Unfortunately, 'hard work' did not pay off. I don't know why!  I hated being the dumbest in my Chemistry class and always going into class with severe fear of my Chemistry teacher who would always pick on me and make me look really stupid.

Whats done is done. I really don't know what will happen on results day and I think and hope I am not the only one.

Summer has started for me and I think there is a long way to go till I make the most of it. I haven't blogged in a very, very long time and I really want to do it bigger and better. So let it commence.

To new beginnings.

The dark side | Must haves.

1. Topshop crop sweat 2. Asos skater dress 3. Topshop tweed jumpsuit 4. Topshop wedgeboots 5.Zara beaded jacket 6. Sweat by ragged priest  7. H&M dress 8. H&M skirt

My wardrobe is full of dark basic pieces, found some more to add to anyone's collection. Love all these pieces...someone want to buy it for me?

The dark side | Lipsticks.

I have fallen in love with dark lipsticks. A bold lip really amplifies a simple look and can boost your confidence in the way you look. I am not really a daring person but just being a lipstick addict, I had to get some and don't actually mind wearing them.

I have some high-street picks which are different in their own way, especially in the finish, staying power but also in the colour pay off. They are not as vampy as others on the market.

Revlon Black cherry. 17 New Black. Rimmel Starry eyed.

The first one pictured is the infamous Black cherry by Revlon. The colour is not as presented in the bullet. It is quite purple; a true dark vine shade. The lipstick has a super lustrous finish, therefore giving a smooth and easy application.

17 New black is an amazing true purple/plum shade, the finish is quite matte yet not overly drying. This is a great lipstick which easily compares to a more expensive lipstick. This lipstick is perfect if you want to experiment with a daring colour but do not want to go all out.

Rimmel shade starry eyed has a little red which is mixed with a purple giving of a burgundy pay off. The finish is quite lustrous and shiny, which I detest so I normally dab it with tissue to matte it out. It says its a lasting finish lipstick, though wearing it without dabbing your lips allows it to slide off, so make sure to wear a lip liner underneath.

So, I suggest, if you do not own any dark shaded lipsticks, to head out and buy one because it can vamp up any lipstick. Revlon being £7.49, 17 being £4.29 and Rimmel being £4.99.

pick these up at you local Superdrug or Boots.

Topshop mini make-up haul.

I have absolutely fallen in love with Topshop lipsticks, everything about them is just lovely and I find them to be a great alternative to mac. I decided to try out their other beauty products and see how they are.

Topshop lipstick in hazard. Topshop Blush in head over heels. Topshop brightner in moonlight.

The lipstick is a bright red but not the most richest red. It looks much more darker in the bullet as well as on the website, as compared to when it is on the lips. It is nor matte or shiny but instead rather creamy. You can instantly matify it more by pressing on your lips with your finger or dabbing with a tissue paper. I think this is a great lipstick to add to ones collection.  If your not a red lipstick kind of girl, it looks great with a slight dab on the lips.

The head over heels blush is quite famous in the blogging/YouTube world. I decided to pick it up and, I have to say its a rather weird consistency. It is a cream blush but once applied on the cheeks it turns into powder. The coral shade has slight pinkness and is a great 'wake me up' product. However, my skin is already quite dry and it just does not apply as nicely. Its best to use your fingers to apply due to the weird consistency making it harder to use with a blush brush, but maybe a stippling brush maybe a better alternative to fingers.

Finally, I saw this moonlight brightener and I never seemed to have caught my eye on this when in-store. However, there were some great reviews online and I had to it try as my dark circles seem to we getting worse. As described online, it is a light weight concealer in a fair/pinky tone. Unfortunately, it only comes in one shade, so is not suitable for very dark skin tones. The product is nice in consistency, however, it is best to blend with fingers as the brush will absorb much of the product. The concealer is a twisty brush pen, which is small and easy to use on the go. However, the smell of the product is not the best, it has quite a fake chemically smell, but it is not noticeable when applying the product.

I will definitely recommend these products. Seems Topshop is succeeding in the make-up department. Hopefully, will be grabbing some more goodies soon.

XOXO

The little things.

I started my new year with a lot of stress, and I mean crazy amounts. All winter I was revising for my January exams and, I am happy to say they are done and dusted, though, now results day haunts me. I still have more to go, with a lot more stress coming my way for June exams. For now I am a lost lamb as I've watched a lot of movies and now I am bored. So being in the limbo phase of being bored and home stricken, I really need to start building a routine again and feeling more positive. so, I have gathered a few things that will hopefully make us a tad bit better.

TREAT. when I am sad I think about Chanel  and how much I want a 2.55 in my life, which ends up with me begging my mum.  I know it wont happen anytime soon so lets enjoy the finest at a more affordable price. I have a massive love for lipsticks so once in a while; shall we say every week or so I buy a lipstick to make me happy. So, If you ever feel down buy something that will make you feel better, that could be from make-up to stationary. the tiniest things can make one feel a lot happier.

EAT. I feel like my slight binge eating of junk food is an obvious reason why I feel crap sometimes. If I eat healthy, I feel much more energised about myself and my body functions better. Having home made healthy smoothies is something that I am having more regularly. I have also discovered flax seeds which are great to put in smoothies/porridge as they provide a lot of energy, which is slowly broken down.

MOVE. During exam season, you could call me a hermit, I lived in my room and was studying all day long.To no ones surprise after my exams I was stuck in bed for a couple of days watching films and surfing the internet. I can feel that my body is begging for a re-vitilise and exercise is a must to feel energised and boosts my stamina. Evening starting from your bedroom by watching exercise/workout videos from YouTube is a great way to get the hang of it. Theleanmachines are a great channel for workout.

EXPRESS. Sometimes when your having a hard time/day and you want to let in all out it can be more safer to express it through writing. I have decided that I will write a journal this year, which will be a great idea to put your feelings and day into words which you can come back to. Whilst revising I was reading over past essays and I had a lot of cringe moments due to what I had written and the way I had said it. I think having a journal and looking back at what you write can help you improve yourself in a weird way, in my opinion of course.

MORE.TREATS. I am not one to count calories  but if you are one of those people, sometimes let go. even the tiniest of cupcakes or a macaroon not only look so pretty and vibrant but taste yummy too and is a great treat.

LET.GO. I am a massive tea drinker and can consume up to 4 mugs of tea a day, during exam time I think I had about 6 a day; bad I know. Instead I am cutting normal tea consumption and incorporating herbal tea into my diet. The different flavours, especially berries are great as they contain anti-oxidants which are great for your body.

BRIGHT.Not only having a clean room which makes you feel ordered and happy, being organised overall makes you feel better about yourself. This can brighten up my day, especially when you come home from a long day at school or work. Also, start buying fresh flowers every now and again to put somewhere in your house. Flowers exude beauty and makes a day brighter  so treating yourself to those or even a special can gift you some will be lovely.

I hope these tips are somewhat useful. I said all this stuff, but need to put in practice myself. Smile. It is a really important thing, which I think I am not the only one who forgets to do.
A happy belated new year.
XOXO
