Reality of life.

I came across some interesting quotes recently, some of which I wish were never true. I feel like these quotes can sum up pretty much majority of peoples life. What more can we do when a situation ,event or life experience affects us? All we can do is sweep that memory from as far away as possible and imaginatively be reborn into the person you want to be.

I think a trio will do for now and every now and then I will post some inspiring for a much needed reality check for us everyday girls. However, It seem with these quotes it conveys words but in all honesty it's easier said then done. So, at times when a quote is said or mentioned anywhere, at any time, i think we should not take it too serious. Therefore, we can only hope that soon we can follow the right path and make the best choices.

I absolutely detest this quote because quite frankly it is speaking the truth. Being humans we are prone to make mistakes but sometimes even when we want something badly and end up doing it, it can turn into the biggest mistake of your life. I feel this has happened to me and this quote angers me. It may exert the same feelings to others, so I guess we have to accept our choice, out possible mistakes and try again.

I feel like I am the boring person in this scenario. I always seem to mutter the word immature on a daily basis normally to my younger siblings; I am nice, I promise. (sarcasm) I feel like I am an 80 years old in an 18 years old body. I am quite famous with my boringness and inability to enjoy myself leaving me with the name grumpy granny; Shhhhhhh don't tell anyone. I think that if we are in situation and one is having one and you are not then it is best we change a little and make an effort to enjoy ourselves rather than bickering. As they call it; YOLO. However, in this case I can be uber mature and say that the term YOLO has a limit. Have fun but do not drown yourself with drugs and drink till your bladder rips open; quite descriptive and disturbing; I should probably stop there.

I really like this one, it is actually so true and I feel like this has opened my eyes. Unfortunately, I have those days where I really do not want to be in a situation or in every day life; especially whilst doing my A levels. But I think this quote conveys we need a Savior, that be a friend, partner, family, hobby; something which brings a smile on your face and enlightens you.

Enough of my crazy talks. I need to digest my own advice before I give them to others. I really like reading quotes I feel they can sum a major situation/story in a few words. Talking of inspiration, I downloaded a new app on my iPhone called TED. It is a free app which holds 'riveting talks by remarkable people'. I still have not tried it yet but am eager to.

Lips gone cray.

I have grown an unhealithy  appetite for make-up and started wasting money on things I do not really need; though I think a little indulgent is fine. I recently picked up some lip products some of which I got from an Elizabeth Arden make- up kit which I got from feelunique.com, which I am not that happy about, but the lip products are OK, though not very sure about the lipsticks.

Products bought:
Clarins instant light natural lip perfector in 02
Mac lipstick (my first ever; woop woop) in Hue.
Elizabeth Arden lipstick trio from a makeup set:
1. Smooth Mauve
2.Red Door Red
3.Soft Red
Elizabeth Arden lip liners from a make-up set:
1.Taupe
2.Crimson
Elizabeth Arden lip-glosses from Make-up kit:
1.Golden pearl
2.sparkling Ruby
Revlon just kissable balm stain in crush.

Swatches are in order of the list of lip products, excluding the Clarins lip perfecter. I absolutely love the lip pencils, Revlon balm stain and the lip-glosses. However, the lipsticks are nice but I think the reds are not really reds. Hue is nice; it smells amazing, it is light for my lip colour and it seems to sit weirdly on my lips as they are dry and not smooth. so somehow i need to fix that. I did not picture the Clarins lip perfecter as the product is like a light gloss and has a HUE like colour which I found the best out of the trio of colours they come in; I am wearing it now and I want to eat it; it is lovely.

I am starting to become a bit of a lipstick/lips product fanatic. And next on my list are the revlon matte lipsticks in black cherry and Mauve it over. I think there is alot more lipsticks to come to make a big fat collection of mine.

Till then,

bye bye.
XOXO

Gucci premiere.

Till now Gucci guilty has to be one of my favourite scents, however, that all changed when I smelt the new Gucci scent;Gucci premiere. I was in awe from the advertisement clip which has one of my favourite fashionistas; Blake lively. It was flawless.

"Gucci Première celebrates the star in every woman. Whether she is holding court at a film opening or business meeting, all her moments are golden. She turns as many heads in an impeccably tailored suit as a couture gown. Grace sits with attitude, beauty with power. She enjoys her achievements and wears her authority with ease. Wherever she finds herself, she is met with admiratione. She is a modern icon."

The infamous Gucci golden bottle I have to say is ever so more beautiful than Gucci guilty. The rectangle shape with the rectangle lid and delicate charm hanging looks rich and glamorous. I love the gold all over, making it perfect as a decoration piece.

I think this description wins me over undoubtedly, the scent allows you to make you feel as though an ultimate glamorous icon who holds major authority and confidence; i think this is great for when one needs to feel sexy, elegant and happy about themselves. Also, considering its a eau de parfum is great as it lingers a long time.

Hopefully we can imaginatively act, feel and wish to look like blake lively as in the trailer.

From my little google search gucci guilty scent has a fusion of quite sweet notes.

Gucci guilty

Gucci premiere

Base notes

Scent
Floral Woody
Feel
Elegant

Though premiere has quite the opposite notes. I love the grown up and slight musky woody scent. The notes having a mix of quite heavier and more adult like smell makes this a very sophisticated scent and I have to say I love this so much more. The description courtesy of Theperfumeshop; saying it makes you feeling elegant is in my opinion so much more desired over the sexy feel.

How to get what you desire; (not men)

It’s every girls dream to buy what she wants and not think about the means of paying for it. No doubt we work our backsides off but even then that money has to go for much more important things, instead of buying a Chanel handbag.

Sometimes a little indulgence is the root to our happiness and an extra vital boost to work harder and treat oneself a little more. This is essentially my life story. Only being 17 and having a part time job and having a Chanel bag(my dream) is a little far-fetched. However, let’s not stop the dreams coming true; I am a little money saver but I know many people aren’t. However, I have come up with some little this and that ways to save a little at a time till it create a mountainous of coins.

As they say pennies make pounds.

1.       Decide the thing you ideally would love to get. Don’t choose a gazillion Prada bags and Laboutins shoes because this will be a little far-fetched. Stick to something that you really really really want. Personally for me a chanel bag.

2.       Once you have a price range, don’t be intimidated by the excessive digits of the products and lose faith. Just grow the little belief that you will slowly save that amount to one day day buy that product.

3.       Spend your ‘spending’ money carefully. Rather than spending your excess money on things on sale or really cheap items which you already have a gazillion on and won’t really need; SAVE IT. The more you spend on other things, not only will you feel guilty about wasting money and not saving, but you will literally have nothing to save.

4.       Get a jar; ideally DIY or reuse something where you can put excess change and money. This is where pennies makes pounds. Any change you find lying around or seem to have a bulge of coppers; USE them and put them in the jar. This will slowly build up and soon make a decent amount of money.

5.       Every girl has too many clothes to handle. So your mum, sister, cousins and aunties excess clothes will make a mountain top. Ask them and yourself if they/ you have any nice clothes, bags, accessories in good condition which they/you will never use again. And you could have a garage sale or even sell on eBay. This will easily make you some money.

6.       Limit spending on food, drinks. I don’t know if it’s only me but whenever I go out, even to college, work, it seems all my money is spent on food. I find this really annoying; so instead of wasting £3 on a sandwich and drink take it from home. Spend the extra 5 minutes making a sandwich and grabbing a piece of fruit. I hope everyone has food at home so why not use that. Even though, I am lazy and many of us don’t do this; it will save us LOADS.

7.      For birthdays, exams presents, religious celebrations some may get money. But if you feel you have enough things. Instead, just ask for money. Obviously don’t have high hopes for fifty pound notes but yet again everything will add up.

Realistically, if you want it you got to work for it. Decide what your needs and wants are. Quite literally majority of things we have are wanted things. But let this one special product be a true ‘WANTED’ item. But with every ‘WANTED’ thing comes a big fat price to pay.

We can do it people.

welcome abroad to the life of an everyday girl.

Hey everyone,

I have decided to make a blog to share my love for fashion, beauty and other itsy bitsy things which can brighten up any gloomy restless day. I have been stuck to my iPhone screen watching YouTube and checking out the beauty/fashion online world, and I love it. Hopefully i can trial this out and let you explore the world of an everyday girl.

I am very new to this so I hope you can support me on this new journey of mine.

Thank you,

Mariam k.
